Social Distance-Minded Car Concert in South Florida

In the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, our health care heroes have been working tirelessly and unconditionally to keep our communities safe. To express our gratitude for their courageous actions, we, at ROC-OFF, were back on the road to build a concert exclusively for first responders.

This was the first full-scale socially distant drive-in concert held at Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach, South Florida on Saturday, 16th May. This concert recognized 200 first responders. The DJ set was transmitted live via guests’ car radios to enable them to enjoy the hour-long live performance by the iconic DJ D-Nice while remaining in their cars to respect all social distancing requirements.

D-Nice, the DJ behind #ClubQuarantine flew to Florida solely for the event to celebrate first responders and their families by spinning a set featuring tracks by Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Beyoncé and The Jackson Five.

We were proud to support and help boost the spirit of those who have been fighting tirelessly across the many levels of service on the front lines to keep us safe. By providing our signature SL-320 Mobile Stage and two pieces of ground support for LED Walls, the park was transformed into a lively yet safe drive-in concert, bringing a uniting force to all in attendance along with those who watched the live-stream on YouTube.

Our SL-320 with a 40’ x 40’ stage floor area and the rigging capacity of 26,000 lbs, combined strength with the efficiency of quick setup and tear down. We built it to stand as the main stage

Stabilized by 1k and 3.5k MTN Cube – the premium ballast system, the large LED Wall was securely and aesthetically supported by the trussing system using 3 motors. The MTN Cube with a compact and aesthetic design and universal truss compatibility is an effective grounding solution for all kinds of modern event productions.

Our team was proud to be part of this good cause which gave back to first responders who work around the clock to battle the pandemic. Last but not least, we want to give a big thank you to Budweiser Zero, Pepsi, Drunken Dragon - a local South Florida restaurant, 1/ST LIVE, and all who played their part!
